  3. Campus History • 1957 – Ohio State Newark • First class sessions begin October 1 • Held in the evening at Newark High School • 80 students • Eight faculty members. • 1965 – Campus site selected • 125-acre tract of land • Construction in 1967

  4. Campus History • 1968 – Founders Hall is completed • 1971 – Central Ohio Technical College opens and shares the campus with Ohio State Newark • 2007 – Ohio State Newark celebrates 50 years of education for citizenship • 2008 – The John L. and Christine Warner Library & Student Center opens
