  2. Course Overview • In this class, students will learn software applications that are used to create and design the three components to a successful business. • Web Design • Graphic Design and Desktop Publishing • Digital Video

  3. Course Components Understanding Web design and HTML using Macromedia Dreamweaver to capture your audience via the Internet. Desktop publishing and elements of graphic design using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Fireworks to capture your audience via print media. Basic film concepts using Pinnacle Studio to capture your audience via digital video.

  4. Course Capstone Students will pull all of these pieces together to create a virtual business including: branding their business, a basic website, attractive and attention getting print media, and the production of a :30 second commercial. Students will work in groups of 2-3 to complete the capstone project and a final presentation will be given.

  7. Tardy Policy A student is tardy if he/she is not in their assigned seat and ready to work. The third tardy is a detention. Each additional tardy is a detention

  8. Grading Students will be graded on their work within each unit and points will be awarded based on accuracy and/or creativity. The Capstone project will be weighted heavily on the students overall grade. This project must be completed to the teachers satisfaction to pass the class.
