  2. Summer School • The school is completely unfair to the students on the matter of summer classes. The policy is that you cannot take summer classes at another school unless you live 50 miles away from campus. So if a student wanted to save some money and take classes at a CUNY school and then transferring the credits over to SJU in the fall, they cannot do so

  3. Summer School cont.. • If you’re a student with a scholarship, it’s not valid in the summer so basically you cannot save any money even though you earned that scholarship for your entire collegiate career. This is one major issue that every student will have to face when taking classes at SJU during the summer and it needs to be addressed.

  4. Judging SJU • Not only are they not heard, students are given answers from the deans such as: “you just can’t do it.” This is ridiculous, the university prides itself on helping its students for something so trivial like taking summer classes at another school and then going to SJU full time in the fall and spring the University is just not reasonable.

  5. Judging SJU cont.. • To add to the problem the students who do come here in the summer are treated to many classrooms without air conditioning, so students are left dealing with the heat. These issues are being left un-addressed by the University and they need to be taken care of because they affect as many as 20,000 people.

  6. Suggestions to SJU • A petition to the board at SJU • Bring this to the attention of the student government

  7. Concluding • If a group of students was to bring this to the attention of the student government, then they would have to act on the matter. The university needs to listen to their students and see how they can help us while helping themselves.
