  1. Expectations: 1.  Listen carefully 2.  Work hard 3.  Be responsible Life Cycle: Lesson 15Assessment

  2. Assessment: Quiz 1 In this lesson you will be tested on what you learned about life cycle and needs of animals. Testing Expectations: 1.  Listen as I read the questions. 2.  Be honest and think carefully. 3.  Review any questions you missed.

  3. Basic Needs: 1. What are the four basic needs of animals? 2. What will happen if an animal does not meet one of these needs? 3.  Do animals meet their needs in the same way? Why or why not? 4.  What is the difference in how a chicken meets its needs compared to a fish? 5.  An animal meets its needs in a certain space or area. What is that environment called?

  4. Development: 6.  What does it mean to develop? 7.  How do humans develop? Name at least 3 stages. 8.  Name an animal that develops similar to humans. 9.  What are the basic stages of a life cycle? 10.  How does a life cycle start over?

  5. Compare/contrast life cycles: 11.  List the stages of a frog life cycle. 12.  What is it called when an animal changes form during its life cycle? 13.  Name another animal that changes form during its life. 14.  What is the pupa stage? 15.  List the stages of a chicken life cycle.

  6. Life cycles: 16.  Which animal that we studied spends half its life in water and half on land? 17.  What is an animal called if it lives half its life in water, half on land? 18.  List two similarities between butterflies and mealworms. 19.  List two differences between crickets and fish life cycles. 20.  Name the two ways a fish could start its life.

  7. Reflect: Good scientists ask questions, try to find the answers, and share what they learned.   We have learned a lot of interesting things about life cycles. As a scientist, if you didn't understand a question, it is your job to go back and study to get it right before we move on! Share what you learned!

  8. Great job testing what you learned! Remember to share what you know about life cycles!  See you next lesson!
