  3. Attention Sophomores: • Sophomore meeting • Friday, Nov. 8th • 9:10 am • HS Auditorium • Meeting with Jostens regarding class rings. • Ring orders due 11/21/13.

  4. 15 DAYS UNTIL ALL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE! • Library books are due November 19, 2013. • If not turned in you will not be able to go off campus for lunch!!!

  5. Attention Spain Travelers! • We will have a meeting TODAY (Tues.) in Ms. Picha’s Room (120). • If you didn’t attend this 7:10 AM meeting, you must attend the 2:20 PM meeting!! • Some important details will be discussed. See Ms. Picha with questions.

  6. Attention All Students: • Please refrain from spraying excessive amounts of perfume/cologne in the hallways.   • We have students who may be allergic to these products.

  7. Attention Fall Athletes! • We will have the end of year athlete surveys on the following dates in the Counseling Center: • Volleyball – TODAY (Tues.) 8:40am • B & G CC – TOMORROW (Wed.), Nov. 6th 8:40am • B & G Soc - Thursday, Nov. 7th 8:20am • G-Ten & G-Swim/Dive - Friday, Nov. 8th 8:20am •  Survey should take about 10 minutes max.

  8. Math Lab • Math Lab Schedule: • TODAY (Tues.) • - 2:15 – 4:00 - Room 226 with Ms. Dobratz • Thursday - 2:15 -4:00 - Room 226 with Ms. Dobratz

  9. Attention Seniors • Senior pics were due last Friday. If you haven’t had your picture taken yet, please see Ms. Lloyd ASAP. • Pics can be emailed, brought on a cd or flash-drive or you can bring a wallet and it will be scanned. • An updated list of who has turned in their picture will be available Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning.

  10. Attention Seniors: • Senior Photo, Grad Fee & Diploma Name forms were due Friday. Extra forms available in the HS Office. If you have taken care of this, please see Kathy in the HS Office. • Senior Meeting with Jostens regarding caps & gowns has been changed to FRIDAY, NOV. 8TH at 8:40 am in the HS Auditorium.

  13. Attention Juniors: • Eligible juniors are urged to contact Mr. Walshprior to Thanksgiving with their interest to earn the scholarship nomination for the Carson Scholars program. In order to be eligible as a 2014 Carson Scholarship, students must have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 or above on a 4.0 scale in the combined academic subjects: English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Foreign Languages. Only one student from each school is able to apply, ensuring that each nominee epitomizes academic excellence. Carson Scholars must display humanitarian qualities through community service.

  15. Donate your old phones! • Turn in your old, used, unwanted cell phones. • They will be reconditioned/repaired with proceeds being donated to help the victims of domestic violence. • Please drop them off in the designated box in the HS Office or Counseling Center. • Deadline is Nov. 15th! • Thanks for helping!!

  16. McLeod Alliance wants you! • McLeod Alliance wants you — teenagers — for a new teen leadership group, • • Learn about healthy relationships. • • Develop leadership skills. Have fun with peers from area schools. • • Decide what activities Youth Advisory Board does in our community. • • Attend Teen Leadership Summit at Mall of America in February 2014. • • If interested, please call Jill Barrall at the Mcleod Alliance 234-7933.

  17. 2014 American Legion Oratorical Contest • Applications are now being taken for participation in the Regional Oratorical Contest. • The prepared oration must be on some aspect of the Constitution with emphasis on the duties and obligations of its citizens. • If you are interested in this program, please go online to www.mnlegion.org or see Mr. Walsh for details.

  18. Breakfast in Foyer • Check out the breakfast in the foyer from 7:10-7:30!

  19. Are you a high school (middle school) student who’s making a difference through volunteering? • If so, go to http://spirit.prudential.com to access the online application. •  The Prudential Spirit of the Community Award recognizes the top local, state and national volunteers. • The deadline for application is TODAY (Tues.).

  20. Register Your Electronic Devices! • In an effort to prevent theft, as well as increase the likelihood of retrieving stolen items, Officer Berry is offering students the opportunity to register their electronics with him. • Please see Officer Berry, Sarah or Kathy in the HS Office for the form!

  21. Attention Boys Basketball • Captain’s Practice • Thursday, Nov. 7th • Moved to 5:30-6:45 am due to football game

  22. Knowledge Bowl – 9th Graders • All 9th graders interested in Knowledge Bowl there is a practice TODAY (Tues.) after school in Room 106 at the Middle School.

  23. Attention Student Council: • Any Student Council Members attending the Mankato Meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 19th – stop by Mrs. Hlavka’s room by Thursday and let her know.

  24. Tiger Bandana A "Tiger Bandana" for our Tiger fans! The Hutchinson Leader, along with some additional sponsors will be supplying the district with a 1,000 Tiger bandanas of which a portion of the proceeds will be given to the Athletic Department. The Activities Office will have them available for sale TOMORROW (Wed.) at a cost of $1.00 each.

  25. Saturday School – Nov. 9th • Sat school this Saturday 8:30-11:30 in the REACH room.

  27. Football Game • Thursday’s game will be at Chanhassen High School and we will play South St. Paul. • The game is at 7:00pm, tickets can be purchased in advance until Wednesday. The prices are $8.00 adult and $5.00 student K-12.  • We will not be provided a bus for this game. 

  28. Attention Key Club Members: • Key Club Officers will meet on TODAY (Tues.) at 2:20 pm in the Counseling Center. •  Key Club Large Group Meeting has been moved to Thursday, Nov 7th at 7:15 am in the Auditorium.
