  2. SDA, UTTAR PRADESH IN DECEMBER’2007,BEE HAS NOMINATED UTTAR PRADESH POWER CORPORATION TO WORK AS STATE DESIGNATED AGENCY, UTTAR PRADESH TO IMPLEMENT THE EC-ACT IN THE TERRITORY OF U.P.

Role of SDA’s • Developmental Role - Database, Policy formulation, Annual reports & review, Awareness creation, knowledge centre, capacity building • Facilitator Role - Demo project, PPP • Regulatory / Enforcing Role - Notify various mandatory requirements for DCs, implementation of other schemes of MoP/BEE • Coordination with Other departments / Agencies 3

  4. Training Programme for Designated Consumers (47 nos.) for E-Filing of Energy Data to BEE on dtd. 11th Sept. 2009 in LKO The response to the work-shop was over-whelming. More than 50 participants were present. These included both, the designated sectors (as notified by the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India and as included in the schedule of the energy Conservation Act-2001 & Non Designated Consumers as well). 1.   22. IGEA (Investment Grade Energy Audit) • IGEA (Investment Grade Energy Audit) of 20 nos. Govt. / Govt. Aided Buildings Identified by BEE • The buildings are owned either by the Central or the State Govt. or Central or State Govt. Public Undertakings or autonomous bodies / local bodies • The maximum financial support provided was Rs. 1.5 lakh / building or 2% of the annual electricity bill

IGEA of buildings to be implemented through BEE empanelled ESCOs during 2009-10 as per BEE Directions *UPSDA assigned the work of 02 Buildings for IGEA to PCRA on Nomination Basis as approved by BEE @ Rs. 1.50 Lacs per building for Energy Audit. (Bapu Bhawan-Mini Secratriate & Shastri Bhawan-Chief Minister’s Office). Data Collection is in progress by PCRA from Building owners to start Energy Audit of the buildings

  24. Demo Projects • The objectives are: • To showcase the effectiveness of the most energy efficient device / technology through a practical demonstration • To furnish the SDAs with relevant documents including technical specification of the energy efficient device, techno-economic viability of the project, bidding document, monitoring protocol etc. • To facilitate the State Governments in replicating these demonstration projects through various Departments / Agencies. • 40 demonstration project on street lighting, drinking water pumping system & SMEs clusters identified by 22 SDAs • Rs. 11.88 crores disbursed to 16 SDAs for implementation of 24 such demonstration projects

  25. Lowest Bidder has completed DEMO project in ANAPUR,Allahabad PCRA has submitted test report on Demo project Status is to be put up before Committee to initiate Complete Project current status

  26. Automatic Power Factor Corrector (APFC) Panel installation in Shakti Bhawan Main Building to improve Existing Power Factor from 0.70 to 0.99 (Almost Unity). Work has been allotted to lowest bidder Work is in progress APFC Panel for ShaktiBhawan Main Building

  27. Replacement of 250W & 400W HPSV Street Lights on 02 roads (one from Hajratganj to Charbagh and another one from Polytechnic T-Point to Gomti Barrage in LKO). Municipal Commissioner Lucknow has taken recently the extra charge as Nodal Officer for the project. Project is in progress, Tender floating will be very soon Total Expenditure in 02 cases as 70W LED Street lights 253 nos. @ Rs. 20,000/- per Light -Rs. 50.60 Lac 120W LED Street lights 253 nos. @ Rs. 35,000/- per Light -Rs. 88.50 Lac LED Street lighting project

  28. MEASURES TAKEN by STATE DESIGNATED AGENCY UTTAR PRADESH REGULATORY MEASURES Under Government order no: 1053/24-p-3-2008 dated July 15th ,2008 of Principal Secretary (Energy) in all Govt. Buildings / Govt. Aided Buildings / corporations / boards / the use of CFLhas been made mandatory
