  3. Background and Summary of results • Full staff survey was conducted in Feb 2010 • Over 10,000 surveys were distributed. • Response rate was 34% (2008 31%) • Benchmark response rate for Local government is 50%

Trend Analysis Trend Comparison • 38 questions could be compared to the 2008 survey. • 13 of these showed a 5% or more increase from 2008 ( team co-operation, pride in working for HCC and wanting to do the best work one can for HCC) • 7 showed a 5% or more decrease from the 2008 responses (deadlines are seen to be realistic, whether employees receive constructive and regular feedback from line managers and perceptions of job security) • Remaining 18 questions had responses within 5% above or below 2008 responses.
