  3. Goals (1) • Enhance member benefits across all segments & make IEEE preferred professional platform. • Create deeper IEEE connectivity with Industry, Research & Academia to enhance value for young professionals and students.

  4. Goals (2) • Enhance leadership with in all IEEE Geo-units by providing necessary training and support to create an Efficient / Effective IEEE organizations across R10 & ensure that every IEEE member value IEEE high. • Bring high level of accountability for all leadership roles. • Make IEEE R10 self-sustaining both technically and financially.

  5. Objectives (1) • Enhance the R10 platform and leadership to professional activities. • Promote and complete the R10 professional activities committee in sections and support them to organize their interested professional activities to benefit the members.

Objectives (2) • Organize demonstrated professional activities in R10 notable events to bring attractive vision to improve the broadness and for professional activities in R10. • Organize typical professional activities jointly with other R10 committees in R10 to bring typical impact to enhance the awareness for professional activities.

  7. Project 1(1) Enhance Professional Activities Organization in Sections • Encourage R10 sections to establish the Professional Activities Committee and appoint the chair of the committee or to active the PA committee. • Professional activities organized need more active sections in which professional activities committee has been established. The more PA committees have been set up, the more professional activities will be conducted.

  8. Project 1(2) Enhance Professional Activities Organization in Sections • The growth of the number of sections with PA committee established is a good measurement for this project. • R10 will support professional activities preferentially to the section in which there is professional activities committee. • To report the new Professional Activities Committee and committee Chair in section to R10 before end of July, 2015.

  9. Project 2 (1) Encourage and Support the Typical Professional Activities Projects in R10 Sections • To encourage and support R10 sections to organize new professional activities and to help motivate new projects related to professional activities. Provide support funds to several typical projects. The project can be in form of lectures, meeting, workshop etc.. • Typical projects will be chosen to improve the local professional activities in the section area. And funds partially help to establish the implementation of professional projects in R10 sections.

Project 2 (2) Encourage and Support the Typical Professional Activities Projects in R10 Sections • To support 3 distinctive projects. 50% of each project will be financially supported by R10 up to USD500.00 and the other 50% will supported by section or other sources. • Call for Project Proposal for 2014 IEEE Region 10 Professional Activities will be announced before end of March, 2015. • Sections send the proposal (application) to R10 during April, 2015. ( proposal requirement and format will be appeared in call for project )

Project 2 (3) Encourage and Support the Typical Professional Activities Projects in R10 Sections • Evaluated by R10 Professional Activities Committee, distinctive project proposals selected to be financially supported will be announced before end of May. • Submission of project completion reports including feedback from IEEE members before end of October. After that the R10 funding will pay to the sections.

  12. Project 3(1) Joint Project with Other Committee or Unit to Promote Professional Awareness in R10 Events. • Organize or cooperate with other communities to support activities for members in the R10 events to promote professional awareness. • Pay attention to R10 larger events: IEEE TENSYM2015, IEEE TENCON2015 where the professional activities organized will attract more members to involve and will be efficient to promote the professional awareness. • R10 funds partially help establish the implementation of professional projects in R10 events, especially for projects with young researcher and engineer attendees.

  13. Project 3(2) Joint Project with Other Committee or Unit to Promote Professional Awareness in R10 Events. • The organizers for TENSYM2015 and TENCON2015 send their proposal of professional activities project to R10 after R10 Meet 2015 (the project requirement and format will be found in R10 web and announcement). • Evaluated by R10 Professional Activities Committee, distinctive project proposals could be selected and will be announced with financial support before open of the events. • Submission of project completion reports including feedback from IEEE members before end of 2015. After that the R10 funding will pay to organizer.

Project 4 : MINI-POCO • Organizer: R10 Conference & Technical Seminar Committee R10 Professional Activities Committee • To help members to understand and familiar with that how to organize high quality international technical conference and seminar. • Experts will be invited to deliver the lectures and answer the questions. • Audiences are free in charge. • Venue: Ningbo, Zejiang Province, China ( south 100km from Shanghai) • Date: September 18, 2015 (before IEEE ICSPCC2015)
