  1. IEEE Region 2Student Activities Conference at The Ohio State University

  2. Tentative Date • Scheduled for March 10, 2012 pending approval from Region 2 • This date serves as a compromise between semester and quarter schools

  3. Fundraising • A brochure to send to companies is currently being compiled with various sponsorship levels (i.e. Gold, Silver, Bronze). • Different funding levels will get companies a table at the career fair, interview slots for after the career fair, a table at the banquet, their logo on various items, etc.

  4. Website • New website for IEEE OSU Undergraduate chapter was just launched • ieeeosu.org • We will be adding pages for the SAC as soon as the date for the SAC is confirmed

  5. 1st Choice Hotel • Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel • 50 N. 3rd Street • Queen beds • 376 rooms • $139/night • Reservation will be made pending approval from R2

  6. 2nd Choice Hotel • Crowne Plaza Columbus Downtown • 33 E. Nationwide Blvd. • Queen beds • 375 rooms • $153/night

  7. Transportation • OSU CABS buses will be charted to bus students from hotel to campus • These buses will run at the start and end of the day

  8. Tentative Schedule for SAC 8-9am Welcome Breakfast 9-10am Career Fair 10am-12pm Competitions 12-1pm Lunch 1-5pm Competitions 5-7pm Interview Slots/Free time 7-9pm Banquet

  9. Welcome Breakfast • Location: A room in the Ohio Union • Food provided: Hot plated breakfast • Content: IEEE Leadership workshop, specific topic TBD

  10. Career Fair • The career fair will be scheduled in its own time slot to increase participation. • Interview slots will be scheduled for companies to interview students. This time period will serve as free time for other students.

  11. Planned Competitions Note: DeVry University will help plan the competitions. • Brown bag competition • Micromouse • Project showcase • Ethics • Physics • Paper competition • T-shirt competition • Electrical engineering scavenger hunt around campus

  12. Banquet • Banquet location: Performance Hall at the Ohio Union • Reserved for March 10, 2012 from 7-9pm • Food provided: Served dinner (not buffet-style) • Speaker: TBD • Awards presentation after speaker
