  1. Laboratory Directions • 1. Title: Laboratory Equipment Lab • There are 15 Stations: For each station you will write the name and create a sketch of the equipment present at each one. • 2. Draw the Room and Label the Following (separate sheet of paper): • 1. Fire Blanket • 2. Fire Extinguishers • 3. Exits • 4. Eye Wash and Emergency Shower Station • 5. Fire Alarm • 6. Emergency Safety Switch (DO NOT TOUCH) • 7. Waste Disposal Containers • 8. Fume Hood

  2. Writing Laboratory Reports Example

  3. Purpose • It is a brief statement of the reason for doing the experiment. • It is only one or two sentences long. • It contains your hypothesis.

  4. Materials • It is a list of what you will need to do the experiment. • It is written in sentence form or as a list.

  5. Writing Lab Reports Name Date Title I. Purpose Hypothesis (1-2 sentences long) *complete sentences* II. Materials (list) Pipettes • Beakers • Graduated cylinders • Etc. (list ALL materials)

  6. Procedure • It is a step by step description of how the experiment was done. • It is written in paragraph form or in outline form.

  7. Observations or Data • It is a record of what happened during the experiment. • It contains data tables, graphs, calculations, descriptions, and etc.

  8. Conclusions • It is the part of the lab where you tell what you learned or found out. • It is where you state whether of not you hypothesis was correct.
