When 1+1 = 3 How to use Tableau to encourage group think • The problem with “business as usual”: • Two heads are (usually) better than one • Interactive, collaborative and informal analysisv. static, one-sided and formal presentation • Work efficiency and quality • What you will need: • A team of 2-5 problem-solvers • An overhead projector (and popcorn) for in-person meetings or desktop software for remote meetings • Tips for success: • Understand your scope and goal (what specific questions are you trying to answer?) • In preparation, QA your data and do a preliminary analysis (~5 solid worksheets of pre-work) • Host a 60-90 meeting using Tableau as your dynamic analysis tool (v. PowerPoint as your static presentation medium) • Create an agenda and stick to it! OR… Instead of having another static and boring PowerPoint meeting, try a dynamic and interactive meeting with Tableau instead
