  5. What is International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (IB- MYP) ? The MYP is: • for students aged 11 to 16 • a framework of academic challenge • 8 subject groups, plus personal project in the final year. At CMS kids choose French or Spanish • taught in any language • Includes a community service requirement

  6. What we cover in this class • Literary Elements • Expository Works • IB Units • Historical fiction and Non fiction works • Diary of Anne Frank and The Holocaust Unit • STAAR Preparation • Vocabulary • Reading Comprehension • Genre and Poetry
