  1. Have You Started Organising Your Spring-Summer As decidedly festival-like as many of the recent rainy and cold weather conditions have been, the truth remains that ‘festival season’ here in the UK tends to be the spring and summer, when the heavens are usually (and mercifully) slightly more predictable. If you’re contemplating holding a festival in 2020, though, the time to get planning is now, rather than later. So, here are a few things the Branded Cups team would suggest you need to focus on. The location and venue The matter of location for your festival will go hand-in-hand with contemplation of the specific venues available to you. Nonetheless, it shouldn’t be news to you that the location of your festival may well make or break it. When considering possible locations and venues, ask yourself how well each given possibility strikes the balance between being an interesting and inspiring location, and actually being easy and convenient to reach for your guests. Before you even go that far, though, you’ll need to ask yourself whether your festival would better suit an indoor or outdoor location. Once you do have a given venue in mind, consider whether there will be enough parking spaces available there – or for that matter, space in general for setting up everything. The budget The importance of being extremely responsible with money when planning a festival should hopefully go without saying – this kind of event shouldn’t involve you merely ‘guesstimating’ everything, even if this will be necessary for some things. After all, you might not know the exact number of attendees you’ll need to account for when requesting quotes for food, drinks and other key services, as well as when setting ticket prices. That’s all the more reason to go through these processes nice and early, in late 2019 or the first month or two of 2020, so that you can at least have approximate figures in mind.

  2. The food and drink Food and drink is often pretty central to the festival experience, which means lots of scope for it to shape positive perceptions of your event... or for that matter, cause seriously negative headlines. So, it’s crucial to pay close attention to the details when organising what is served at your festival. Have you asked those booking tickets about any food preferences and allergies? And will the food be of a standard and price that will enable attendees to feel that they’re getting good value for money? As for the drinks, one detail to which we’d draw your attention is the worth of having special reusable Festival Cups made for the event. After all, such cups can be created with your festival’s colours and branding, and when you order them from Branded Cups, they will be of a quality that will make many of your visitors happy to keep them as souvenirs of their experience at your event. Whether it’s the aforementioned Festival Cups that you start ordering right now, or instead other details of your upcoming event like the business plan and organising the entertainment that you pay attention to, it could be a great idea to take those steps sooner rather than later. It’s just one more reason why our team here at Branded Cups could be indispensable partners for you in the immediate weeks and months ahead – no matter how dreary the winter weather becomes!
