Processing (cont’d) • Better to facilitate student-student “meaning making” through cooperative strategies • Cooperative strategies are engaging and “safe” for adolescents • Suggested steps: • Students answer questions independently • Students share their answers with partner or small group and come to consensus • Groups share their ideas with other groups
