  2. Who We Are Established in 1993 by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) Southern Coast

Who We Are • As a nationwide, multidisciplinary resource for professionals in the addictions treatment and recovery services field, the ATTC Network serves to: • Raise awareness of evidence-based and promising treatment and recovery practices, • Build skills to prepare the workforce to deliver state-of-the-art addictions treatment and recovery services, and • Change practice by incorporating these new skills into everyday use for the purpose of improving addictions treatment and recovery outcomes.

  8. 3. Military Families – Active, Guard, Reserve, and Veteran • Support America’s service men and women together with their families and communities by leading efforts to ensure needed behavioral health services are accessible and outcomes are successful.

Mid-America ATTC Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma Doris Rogers, BS (Veteran) | Project Manager, Mid-America ATTC • March 2007 – Kansas • Partnered with the Kansas Adjutant General, Department of Veterans Affairs - VISN 15, Wichita Vets Center on a one-day conference directed specifically at Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). • August 2008 – Nebraska’s Two-Day Wellness Conference (Omaha) • Collaborated with the Nebraska National Guard, NE Department of Health & Human Services, and the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System. • February 2007 & December 2008 – Kansas and Missouri • Collaborated with Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area counties; Community Mental Health Coalitions; and Health Care Foundations. Produced a series of half- and full-day conferences addressing issues faced by returning service members and their families in the metro area.
