Year 10 WLFS Semester 2 task “Why do we need to consider other people?”Due: Term 3 Weeks 4 & 8 i.e. weeks beginning 5 August & 2 September, 2013 • In this Assessment Task students will – • Demonstrate your understanding and use of the Fertile Question Pedagogy (FQP) in relation to the Hero Journey and the theme of 'Integrity'. • Construct a minimum of TWO sub-questions in relation to the FQ: “Why do we need to consider other people?” • Collaborate in pairs (at least) and demonstrate considered and consistent evidence of both team and individual effort. Task Outcomes:

  12. “Why do we need to consider other people?” Demonstrate a very good to exceptional ability to develop engaging and original sub-questions, research and concluding performance. • Use appropriate terminology in relation to the Fertile Question Pedagogy (FQP), the Hero Journey Framework (HJF) and the theme of 'Integrity' at a very good to exceptional level. • Demonstrate a very good to exceptional ability to develop engaging and original sub-questions, research and concluding performance. • Work collaboratively and consistently well as a team of at least two and present a clear, comprehensive and consistent outline/log of your individual and team efforts. 40 – 50 marks

Steps in the Fertile Question Pedagogy “Why do we need to consider other people?” • Work individually on the individual research scaffold (IRS) • Work with your partner(s) in order to decide on the sub-question(s) • Decide on the research and divide it up between you and your team. • Determine how you will perform/celebrate your learning. • Complete the Individual Research Scaffold (IRS) • Decide on your sub-question(s) • Compile a list of resources and research areas that will be included in the log e.g. posted on edmodo • Decide how you will present your findings. • Ensure that you have shown evidence of your collaboration • Practise your presentation
