Completely overcast at 15h30, snowing a little. Work aborting around 16H00 because of bad sea ice conditions, need to go back at the station. Tair@ + 150 cm : -4.3 Tsnow from top in degree C, see depth on stratigraphy for layers: 33 cm = -2.1 30 cm = -3.8 25 cm = -4.5 20 cm = -4.7 15 cm = -4.7 10 cm = -4.5 5 cm = -4.1 Sea Ice = -3.6 Observations Light snowfall at 15h30 composed of rimed dendritic crystals. No time to make some observations. Fresh snow of the night with some more during the afternoon. Dendritic and rimed dendritic crystals. Recognizable particle of dendritic crystals. Blown snow, 0.1 to 0.2 mm Crust of faceted crystals, 0.2 to 0.3 mm size, not so hard compare to the land. Depth hoar layer, 3-4 mm size. 35 33,5 30,5 25 15 4 0
