Silicon Wafers for Ecal ( Calice collaboration, RémiCornat) • Actual EUDET prototype : • Production : 14 $/cm² • without cost of masks • 6” inchs ( should be , for ILD, 8”) • But small quantities ( <50) • Meeting in september with HAMAMATSU • Hamamatsu is beginning a R&D program in view of final quantity ( 2500m²) • Actually, aim is 8 $/cm² • Think reasonable to reach 6$/cm² • Expect to decrease down to 4 $/cm² but low limit of 500*m for thickness • Part of Mask/total • Final production : at least 3 years ( for only ILD ECAL...)
