COPs Working Group Activities in Progress CCWG Working to complete a handbook detailing Settlement processes ensuring it is in alignment with COPMG and other existing Market rules and accurately reflects Market processes PWG Continuing work to ensure Profiles are maintained and/or established to meet Market processes and changes including completing all annual profiling activities SEWG Responding to Market needs for Settlement Extract issues, working with CCWG on the handbook to include details related to Data Extracts, Settlement Algorithms and other details as appropriate. 2

  3. Profiling Working Group Profiling Working Group – goals on schedule for 2011 and many are complete Next version of the Profiling Guide will be posted on September 1st Did not meet in August

COPS Communications Working Group (CCWG) Activities • CCWG is nearing completion of the COPS Handbook • ERCOT Legal attended August CCWG meeting and provided the following feedback which will be included within the Handbook: “The following document was developed by ERCOT Market Participants for ERCOT Market Participants, to be used as reference material only.  This document contains references to the ERCOT Protocols and Other Binding Documents (OBDs), which are subject to change over time.  The ERCOT Protocols and/or OBDs, and not this document, are the final sources of authority on all matters discussed herein.  This document is managed, maintained, and updated solely by the Commercial Operations Subcommittee (COPS) Communications Working Group (CCWG). Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc. (ERCOT) makes no representation or guarantee concerning the source, originality, accuracy, completeness or reliability of any statement, information, data, finding, interpretation, advice, or opinion as contained in this document.” • Remaining sections to be finalized shortly: • Section 9, Data Aggregation/Load Aggregation • Section 12, RECs • Sections Completed: • Section 13, CRRs • Section 14, Short Pay and Market Participant Default Process

SEWG Update and Key Discussion Topic Settlement Extract Working Group Update SEWG reviewed and discussed the upcoming Board approved Resettlement, including schedule and notifications No issues or concerns were identified Recent Settlement Statement reposting event discussed including cause, impact and lessons learned SEWG comfortable with ERCOT analysis and future strategies around re-run events Completed discussion on NPRR 347 and determined that no further activity will take place in discussing a single “counterparty” invoice due to current Project List Work continues on the Nodal Settlement Guide
