  1. Secretary of State PCC Project Status Campaign Finance

  2. CFIS Change Certification Request • This Change Certification request will supersede previous certification requests.  The scope of this phase (Planning Phase) will be performing the gap analysis between the WA system and the NM SOS requirements and project planning.

  3. Online Availability of CFIS • At this time the SoS is in the process of researching and developing a new CFIS system. • The SOSKB Political Finance Reporting System (PFRS) is currently being used as indicated in our contingency plan. • Updates to the existing PFRS system have been made for the October 12, 2009 filing date.

  4. Research on alternative systems • PDC Washington State – source code has been obtained. • Gap Analysis is pending. • Contractor selection/approval is pending.

  5. Ongoing Items • Funding / spending – $5,000.00 have been expended at this time for Network Security Assessment. • Issues – The most significant issue identified is the current hold status for the project. • Successes- As a result of the security assessment the SOS office network infrastructure has been completely redesigned and the website security has been upgraded and enhanced.

  6. Funding • $176,000 has been appropriated for this project and will expire FY10.
