  2. Summary http://www-ppd.fnal.gov/FTBF/

  3. Infrastructure • MWPC stations, New Read-out – Working! • Thanks Sten & Terry! • Motion Tables (2B, 2C, 1A) – • New stepping motors • Now controlled through ACNET • Calibrated (w/help from AD Controls) • Silicon Telescope • Strip Telescope still in the works, • Pixel Telescope installed (out of beam) http://www-ppd.fnal.gov/FTBF/

  4. Infrastructure Work continues on: • HRT Area (M03) • Table design being finalized, ordering parts • MCenter Control Room • Walls (T&M work expected to start in Sept) • HVAC • Shielding Ready to go http://www-ppd.fnal.gov/FTBF/

  5. Schedule • Sept 4 – Oct 9: Intensity limitation due to F4 berm work • Oct 2 – Nov 5: MCenter work, roof work, (Berm work cont.) http://www-ppd.fnal.gov/FTBF/schedule • Now with Make-up Time • Booked until July 2014 • T-1038 (First Exp) installed Sept 4, ORC on Sept 6 (next slide) • T-992, T-1047T-1043, T-1045, install Wednesday morning ORC expected. (2 weeks) • T-1031 begin installing Wed in M03 http://www-ppd.fnal.gov/FTBF/

  6. T-1038 • lb-W crystals w/APD’s on front (collect reflected light) studying the effect of MIP’s through APD’s • Took Pions @ 16 GeV (Thank You!) • Collecting MIP’s right now (just collecting statistics don’t care about spill quality or consistency) • Saw electron Showers (beam 30% e-) • Next: e- beam with W target in front of detector to get more MIP’s through APD’s • 1/8 of this detector will be installed in the PHENIX detector in November http://www-ppd.fnal.gov/FTBF/
