  3. ELY VOLÓ UNAS DOS MILLAS ANTES DE ATERRIZAR EN UNA PLAYA DE WILLOUGHBY. ESTE GRAN ÉXITO HIZO QUE LAS AUTORIDADES DECIDIESEN CONTINUAR CON LAS PRUEBAS.

  4. EL 18 DE ENERO DE 1911, EUGENE ELY ATERRIZA CON EL MISMO AVIÓN SOBRE EL USS PENSILVANIA. • ESTE FUE EL PRIMER ATERRIZAJE DE LA HISTORIA SOBRE UN BUQUE DE GUERRA.

  5. FÍJESE EN LA COLOCACIÓN DE LOS SACOS TERREROS A LOS LADOS DE LA PISTA DE ATERRIZAJE.
