  1. By: Hassan Al-Thani Class:8D Date:10/11/2010 Teacher:Mr.white Finding and using metals

  2. Introduction • In this power point im going to talk about metals im going to choose 3 metals which is lithium, sodium, and potassium im going to compare these 3 metals and show the properties of them were they were found. By who it was found, in what year, what is the melting point of it.

  3. Human Ingenuity Human ingenuity means to allow students to focus on human creations and the products of human creativity and their impact on life and society. Also Human ingenuity gives chance for students to develop themselves the human capacity to create, transform, enjoy and improve quality of life. This is linked to this project because we are finding when the metals were discovered, what year, and by who also we have to find how are these 3 metals are connected to each other.

  4. When was Lithium discovered • Lithium was discovered by a guy named Johann Arfvedson in the year 1817 the crystal structure of this is Cubic, and the color of it is silver.

  5. When was sodium discovered • Sodium was discovered by a guy named Sir Humphrey Davy in the year 1807 the crystal structure of sodium is cubic, and the color of it is silver.

  6. When was potassium discovered • Potassium was discovered by a guy named Sir Humphrey Davy in the year 1807 the crystal structure of potassium is cubic, and the color of it is silver.

  7. Conclusion • As you can see we have compared the 3 chemical elements which was Lithium, Sodium, and potassium and I have showed that they are similar by the color which was silver similar by the crystal structure which was cubic, sodium and potassium have the same guy who discovered both metals which is Sir Humphrey Davy and the year was 1807. These are all the things that relate to each other.
