Security Certification • Activities Directed According to FAA Information Systems Security Program (Order 1370.82) • Performed Vulnerability Assessment on WAAS Architecture • Defined Threat Characterizations • Generated Risk Assessments for Each Threat • Mitigated Risks to an Acceptable Level – Through Negotiations and Discussions with Program Sponsors • Documented Security Assessment in the WAAS Security Certification and Authorization Package (SCAP) • Physical, Personal, and Computer Security

  8. WAAS Service Certification • WAAS Service Certified Daily Under Normal Operating Conditions • Maximum Allowable Certification Interval 7 Days • Service Certification Performed By WAAS Operators • Operators Must Have Completed All Necessary Training and Successfully Passed the Certification Exam Prior to Being Granted Certification Authority • WAAS Components Certified Quarterly By WAAS Maintainers • Subsystem Certification Performed Monthly
