  2. The Tajmahal, considered a man-made wonder, symbolizes the country of india . It was built by Shah jahan , Mogul emperor of india , in memory of his wife MumtazMahal. He had vowed to build her the most beautiful tomb ever imagined. He choose a site on the Juma River in agra, India, and consulted with craftsmen from All over central Asia and european experts from France and Italy. With its slender towers and onion-shaped dome, an islamic symbol of both womanhood and paradise, the TajMahal has a fairytale quality. The white marble of the monument seems to take on different personalities at different times of the day. The inside of the tomb is decorated with carved marble screens inlaid with precious and semi-precious stones.

  8. The Pronoun “I” • Always capitalize the pronoun “I.” • Even though you often do not when you text message, you capitalize the pronoun “I” in every written communication.

  9. Religious Terms • Capitalize any word referring to God • The Holy Spirit, Jesus, God, Allah, Jehovah, etc. • Capitalize any word refer to a religion- Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Muslim, Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, • Capitalize church names- First Baptist, All Saints Episcopal, St. Mary’s • Sacred Days- Easter, Christmas, Good Friday, Hanukah • Sacred Writings- Bible, Torah, the Koran

  10. Gods and Godesses • Do not capitalize names referring to gods and goddesses in Greek or Roman mythology. • Examples include- god Zeus, goddess Hera, goddess Demeter, etc. • Note that the name is capitalized, but not the words “god” and “goddess.”

  11. Nationalities, Races and Languages • Nationalities- American, German,, French, Italian, Saudi Arabian • Races- Caucasian, Asian, African-American, etc. • Languages- French, Chinese, Hebrew, etc.

  12.
