Proper nouns • Definition: Proper nouns(also called proper names) are the words which names a specific people, organizations, places, titles, cities, countries, calendar times, etc. They are always written with a capital letter. • For example : annie = X korea = X dominos = x • Annie = O Korea= O Dominos= O

Personal Titles • Definition: Capitalize a person's title when used with the person's name or as a direct address. The title is not capitalized when used generally. • For example: I can’t wait to see Uncle Wayne • There are also 4 personal titles that are used a lot in the English language which are Mr. Mrs. Miss and Ms. • For example : Mrs. Smith have arrive to hospital

Titles of creative works Always Capitalize the first, last and those important words in a title and subtitles. All the words need to be capitalized if they are in a hyphenate or following after a colon or semicolon in a title and subtitles. Ex: I love J.K Rowling’s writing: Her famous books - Harry Potter, are entertaining, she is nothing but clever.
Names of areas and regions Always capitalized the title when used to indicates directions and address of regions. EX : I came from the South. I like the south part of the campus better.

Names of races, ethnic groups, and sacred things When the words black and white are used to refer to members of racial people, they are not capitalized. When the words are the named of ethnic groups and races, they should be capitalized. Some religious terms, such as sacrament, altarand rabbi, are not capitalized. The Bible is capitalized except when it is used as an essential book.

First word of a sentence or quoted sentence • The first word of a new sentence should be capitalized. • The first word of a quoted sentence should be capitalized, but except the first word of a quoted phrase. • When the writer interrupt the sentence is quoting sentence with expression, the first word of the rest of quotation should not be capitalized.
example • She said, “He believed I could do it.” or “He believed I could do it.” She said. • “Sorry, I am late,” he said, “because I missed bus.”
