  7. Skill Based apps – Alphabet Starfall ABC’s Great for review of alphabet letters and sounds MyABC Alphabet activities including tracing letters, practicing sounds and games Alphabet Tracing Practice tracing uppercase and lowercase letters and numbers 1 to 9.

Skill Based apps – Spelling Little Speller App comes in Levels 1-4 and one designed specifically for ESOL Spelling practice of sight words, 3 letter words and 4 letter words ABC App comes in Levels 1-3 Spelling practice of words from 3 letters up to 6 letters Cimo Spelling Sound Out 6 Levels of spelling words using short vowels, long vowels, and more challenging spellings Also an app designed for spelling sight words

  15. Story Building Apps - Book creator Book Creator Can be used with students of any grade level. Individuals can create their own stories. Students can collaborate and create long and/or more elaborate texts. Stories can be saved in iBooks and become part of your online library.

Students can collaborate and create long and/or more elaborate texts. Has a wizard and an expert mode. You can create a story sharing account and upload stories to the cloud.

  18. Story Building Apps – Puppet Pals & Toontastic Toontastic Puppet Pals Both can be used to retell a familiar story or create an original story. Both can be used to practice characters, setting, and plot. Both have free aspects and enhanced features can be purchased to increase options.

  19. Story Building Apps - iMovie iMovie Can edit existing video or create original videos. Has templates to combine videos, photos, and music to make a movie. Can also create a movie trailer.
