Alumni satisfaction, Employer satisfaction, Median score in outcome exams and median score in professional society exams. • Objective 2 : Provide up to date current academic programs that meet international standards and satisfy market needs.   13. Implementation • Introducing Strategic committees and modifying the role of college council. The Committees are: • The college has four strategic committees. The committees are: • Learning and Teaching Committee to assist in implementing objective 3 in the SP. • Faculty Committee to assist in implementing objective 4 of the SP. • College Infrastructure committee to assist in implementing objective 8. • College out reach committee to assist in implementing objective 7.

  14. Implementation • Establish Yearly goals (targets) based on the current status of each strategic objective as measured by the key performance indicators. • For each target established a set of action plan to be implemented during the course of the year to achieve the target.

  15. Implementation • Assess the progress bimonthly. • Assess the status at the end of each semester in a management review and develop a set of action plans for the next semester. • Continue the above steps on yearly basis.

CCSE Aligned Mission • To prepare competent professionals in the areas specified in the college line of business empowered with knowledge, skills values and who are competitive worldwide and will be ready to play a leadership role in the development of Saudi industry, academia and government.

  25. Vision and Values • Vision did not change. • Adopted the same values as KFUPM.

Implementation Plan • Implementation Plan the same with following additional suggested mechanism to utilize the results of the projects: • Each strategic committee must identify the projects that are expected to contribute to the college objective that is assigned to it. • Contact the Office of Planning and Quality (OPC) to follow projects outcomes and construct a plan for utilizing the outcomes. • Formulate action plans to achieve goals set by the committee. • Assess the benefits obtained from the projects outcomes on yearly basis.

  27. Self Assessment of Implementation • Did any one feel the impact of CCSE strategic plan implementation? • Have you suggested anything strategic for the college? ( I need strategic committee chairs). • If no, what are the major obstacles?

  29. Concluding Remarks • Leadership and more management commitment is needed to see the fruits of the strategic plan? • Highlight strategic themes and reiterate them. • Resources must be provided to implement the plan?. • Training is needed to all faculty and staff on strategic planning.

  30. Concluding Remarks • Empower the chairmen and faculty members. • Tie rewards with performance. • Eliminate stifling processes. ( example a faculty member would like to attend a meeting for the world leaders in an area could not make it ). • Do not be scared of change and be open to experiments.
