It is done by cropping, pointing, and even amputating some parts of the ear. The cropping involves removing some of the upper ear with a scalpel. The pointing is done by removing a small portion of the upper ear and suturing the edges. The amputation takes place throughout the entire ear lobe. • Why: This operation is done to enhance beauty and even increase the quality of sound heard.
