Hans Kuyper over Motivatie Need for achievement Prestatiemotivatie (PMT, PMT-K; Hermans) Intrinsieke versus extrinsiekemotivatie Mastery versus performance motivatie ISM: Inventory of School Motivation (McInnerney) ISM is gebaseerd op het ‘personal investment model’ van Maehr. ISM gebaseerd op eenhiërarchisch multi-dimensioneel model (8 schalen, 4 tweedeordeschalen, Gmot). Gebruikt in COOL.

  2. Elliot 2x2 model: Mastery versus Performance motivation, gekruist met Approach versus Avoidance. [Achievement goals] Dat levert vier cellen, waarvoor schalen zijn gemaakt. Maar die correleren nogal met elkaar. Nico van Yperen (RUG sociale psychologie): andere benadering, namelijk paarsgewijze vergelijking van de vier doelen. Dat zijn zes items. Indien consistentie: toewijzing aan één dominant achievement goal [DAG] Door ons ook gebruikt in COOL.

  3. COOL resultaten VO-3 (N = 7000) Niet consistent: 11.5% (ongeveer normaal) Performance Approach: 4.4% Performance Avoidance: 10.2% Mastery Approach: 45.4% Mastery Avoidance:28.6% (relatief hoog)
