  2. Verse 1 Blow the horn let Zion hear,for God’s day is now at hand;

  3. Let the peopletremble in thisday of clouds and gloominess;

  4. Troops so greatand mighty strong,there has never been the like;

  5. Nothing shall escape as they devour the stubble on their way

  6. Verse 2 Fire before them shall devour,flames ablazeare left behind;

  7. Such as Edomwas shall becomea wildernessthat’s desolate;

  8. Like the noise of chariots;and as horsemendo they run;

  9. Nothing shall escape as they devour the stubble on their way

  10. Verse 3 People are faintat their sight,for they runlike mighty men,

  11. Moving eachon his own waythey do not tanglein their paths,

  12. Each does followhis own line,climbing wallslike men of war;

  13. Then they chargeas warriorsand advance like fighters on their way.

  14. Last Verse They upon the city leap,break thru weaponseach unharmed;

  15. Run upon the wallsand climb in housesthru the windows leap;

  16. Earth is quakingas they come,heavens shake, stars cease to shine;

  17. Then the Eternal thundersand the sun and moon become both black!
