Appreciating Diversity in Sunnyside Unified School District

In this Kindness Month activity, students will explore the importance of valuing classmates, teachers, and staff who are different from themselves in appearance, race, ethnicity, and personal history. They will define and discuss the terms appearance, race, ethnicity, and personal history, while learning about the concept of diversity. The activity will culminate in a reflection and quickwrite on the lessons learned.
