  3. 1948:Graduates from Morehouse College

  4. 1954: Marries Coretta Scott in Marion,Georgia.

  6. 1955:Begins ministering at theDexter Avenue Church, Montgomery, Alabama.

  7. 1956:District court rules bus segregation is unconstitutional.

  8. 1957:Civil Rights Commission is created by the federal government.

  9. 1958: King’s book, “Stride Toward Freedom: The Montgomery Story” is published.

  10. King is ordained at the age of 19, receives his Ph.D. degree in 1955.

  11. Dr. King was arrested numeroustimes during Civil Rights Movement.

  12. Received 20 honorary doctorate degrees.

  13. A Friend to all.

  14. 1964: Nobel Peace PrizeWinner

  15. Coretta marching by his side……
