Copying a Slide as a Picture into Another Program • In the Slides tab in Normal view or in the slide pane in Slide Sorter view, select the slide from which you want to make a picture image • In the Clipboard group on the Home tab, click the Copy button • Switch to the document into which you want the picture object inserted • In the Clipboard group on the Home tab, click the Paste button arrow, click Paste Special to open the Paste Special dialog box, click Picture (PNG) or some other picture format, and then click the OK button New Perspectives on Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007

Downloading Clips from Microsoft Office Online • Display the slide into which you want to insert a picture, motion, or sound clip • Click the Insert tab on the Ribbon, and then in the Illustrations group, click the Clip Art button to open the Clip Art task pane • Click the “Clip art on Office Online” link at the bottom of the task pane • Use the search feature on the Office Online Web page to find the clips that you want, and then click the check box below each clip that you want to download • Click the Click to Download button. Playing a CD Track While Showing a Slide • Click the Insert tab on the Ribbon, and then in the Media Clips group, click the Sound button arrow • Click Play CD Audio Track • Select the starting and ending track in the Clip selection section of the dialog box, and specify other options, as desired • Click the OK button • Place a music CD into your computer’s CD-ROM or DVD drive before you run the slide show to play the selected track during the slide show New Perspectives on Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007

Recording a Narration • In Normal view, go to the slide where you want to start recording a narration • Click the Slide Show tab on the Ribbon, and then in the Set Up group, click Record Narration • Click the Set Microphone Level button, position the microphone where you want it while you record the slide show narration, read the text shown in quotes in the dialog box, and then click the OK button • Leave the Link narrations in check box unselected if you want to save the narration with the presentation; select it if you want to save the narration in another file that is linked to the presentation file New Perspectives on Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007

Recording a Narration • Click the OK button • Speak into the microphone to record the narration for the current slide • Press the spacebar to go to the next slide (if desired), record the narration for that slide, and then continue, as desired, to other slides • After completing the narrations, press the Esc key to end the slide show • Click the Save button to save the timing of the presentation, or click the Don’t Save button to save only the narration New Perspectives on Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007
