Production • Annual production 800,000 MT of Fruit & Vegetable • Grown in varied agro climatic areas. • Grown by semi commercial farmers - area of land less than a hectare (2.4 acres) • To be commercially viable and to cater to export market demands, a land area of a minimum 100-200 acres of a single crop

Policy Framework LAND : EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE UTILIZATION OF SCARCE AGRICULTURAL LAND - Redistributing already allocated agriculture land that is underutilized & uncultivated - Streamline and fast track procedures applied in releasing land for cultivation on lease - Encourage consolidation of land for cultivation - Ensure effective utilization of prime agriculture land owned by Government Institutions FINANCE
