  2. Idaho 2010 SLD Research Project Overview • Project length: June-October 2010 • 327 eligibility reports from all four June 2010 peer review sites • Two data coders, 86% inter-rater reliability • Will continue with eligibility report data to be gathered Spring 2011

Data Analysis: Frequency Areas • Evaluation purpose, Eligibility decision, Regional distribution, Grade level, Native Language • Areas of Concern • Basic Reading, Reading Fluency, Reading Comprehension, Oral Expression, Written Expression, Listening Comprehension, Math Problem Solving, Math Calculation

  10. Summary of Findings • Top three areas of concern are reading • 72% of eligibility determinations are in grades 1-6 • Gender differences appear to be less pronounced in the SLD eligibility determination process • Additional training/development needed in areas of progress monitoring
