    • Dimensionless

    • Used with any linear measurement unit, such as feet, meters, or miles

    • Example, 1:24,000

      • Representative fraction

      • 1 inch on the map is 24,000 inches on the ground (or 2,000 feet)

  • To add report to layout:

  • -From layout view, click Insert> Object

  • In object dialog box, click the Create from File radio button, browse to report and double click

  • Click OK in the Insert Object window

  • The report is now on the layout, but needs to be resized and moved.

  • Use Create Graph Wizard

  • to create the desired graph.

  • Right click the graph> click Add to Layout, and close the graph window

  • Resize and position the graph window.
