  2. Exercise #1 • I went out with friends last night. • I used to go out with friends, before I had the baby. Now I don’t have any time. • I usually wake up at 7 a.m. • I’m usually waking up (around 7 a.m.)when my husband leaves the house in the morning. • I had no pets when I was a child. • I didn’t have any pets when I was a child. • I didn’t use to have pets when I was a child.

  3. Exercise #1 • Correct • I’m always losing things. • I always lose things. • Correct

  4. Exercise #2 • I seldom do my homework. • I rarely go to the grocery store more than twice a week. • More often than not I’ll eat chocolate after dinner. • Once in a while I’ll go to an Italian restaurant, but not very frequently.

  5. Exercise #2 • Occasionally I’ll go for a walk on Sundays. • Most weeks I go to the Vegetarian Bar. • I don’t know if I do anything frequently (visit museums, go to movies, etc.) • Every now and again I’ll see a movie in the cinema.

  6. Exercise #3 • I’m excited about moving house. • I’m afraid we’re not satisfied with the service you gave us. • I’m not aware of any problems • We’re very fond of dogs. • He was disappointed in his results.

  7. Exercise #3 • I’m impressed by the food. • I’m sick of waiting for her. • They’re not sure about the colour. • Jon’s famous for being late. • I’m shocked by price of houses. • She’s terrified of the dark. • He’s always been fascinated by magic tricks.

  8. Exercise #4 • My friend Ruth is getting used to teaching. She just started working at an elementary school. • I will never get used to not having the conveniences of home. Today I wanted to make an apple pie, and I had to make everything, even the crust!

  9. Exercise #4 • I’ve got used to teaching British English. I’ve gotten used to teaching British English. • My husband is used to working day and night. • We will have to get used to living on less money next year. • I never got used to walking to my university campus in 2010. It was always so cold outside.

  10. Exercise #4 • It will take me a long time to get used to Madrid traffic. I come from a small town!
