  3. Description: TITLE:Q8 Hi-Q Diesel, 2006 MUSIC:I Want It All, Queen ADVERTSISING: It shows a lorry which is pursuing a car. It produces a lot of smoke, in this way it symbolizes problems (wear, deposits, corrosion) which menace every day the engine’s efficiency. The solution is Q8 Hi-Q Diesel, which will transform the car into a sailing boat which utilizes diesel Q8, and slides on the road while the lorry is at a halt on the edge of the road.

  4. What it wants to promote: The advertising is based on a comparative message: the difference between a user who uses Hi-Q Diesel, and the difficulties of a motorist who uses any other diesel. The spot wants to promote a quality of diesel which does not provoke damns in cars: its finality is to maintain the engine clean and functional even after a lot of time. Moreover it is also studied with the aim to “safeguard” the environment: if cars produce less pollution with this quality of diesel, and if people begins to use it, maybe the whole environment could be saved.

  5. Ideal addressee: The spot is referred to all people which does not use diesel Q8 yet. For this reason the advertising underlines the positive effects which diesel produces on the means of transportations which use it, and on environment.

  6. Function of images, music, words: Images, music and words cover an important role in every spot: as a matter of fact they are used to emphasize the message the advertising wants to promote. In this case they are used for different aims: Images: They help people to understand the message of the advertising: the ideal addressee sees a car which uses Diesel Q8 and thanks to this it transforms into a sailing boat which slides on the road.

  7. Music: The spot uses the song I want it All by Queen. The refrain of the song is: “I want it all I want it all (yeah) I want it all and I want it now I want it all (yes I want it all) I want it all hey I want it all and I want it now”The message that the song wants to send is that, when the ideal addressee comes to know diesel Q8, his reaction is that he wants to prove it immediately.

  8. Words: their role in the spot is to emphasize its message; the words used are: “Ogni giorno usura, depositi e corrosione inseguono il tuo motore rischiando di danneggiarlo. Per questo Q8 ha progettato Hi-Q: il diesel del futuro che protegge il tuo motore mantenendolo pulito ed efficiente; oggi e domani.”
