  2. How To Pack For Your Trip • We will transport all instruments and garment bags in our trailer that will drive down to Florida. • Check-In is Tuesday night – 6-8pm Disney 2011

How To Pack For Your Trip SUITCASE • Maximum weight is 50 pounds and maximum • size is 62 inches (length + width + height). • Please be aware that you will not be able to access your bags after they are screened. Therefore you should remove everything that you want to take on the plane with you before you hand over your checked bag for screening. Do not lock your suitcase. Disney 2011

  4. How To Pack For Your Trip CARRY – ON BAG • Carryon items are limited to one bag plus one smaller, personal-type item. • Southwest Airlines limits carryon bag dimensions to 10x16x24 inches. • All customers and their items are subject to a thorough physical search. Disney 2011

  5. How To Pack For Your Trip CARRY – ON BAG http://www.tsa.gov/311/311-carry-ons.shtm • The secret to getting through security smoothly is to de-clutter your carry-on bag. This lets our Transportation Security Officers get a clear, uncomplicated X-ray image of your carry-on. • Pack all liquids in suitcase not in carry-on. • Limit quantities to what is needed for the duration of the flight Disney 2011

  6. How To Pack For Your Trip CARRY – ON BAG • Students should plan on bringing their Carry – On with them to school – IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 • Group 2 & 3 can bring their Carry-On with them at 3:30. Disney 2011

  8. WHAT To Pack For Your Trip Band / Marching Band • Concert Band & Symphonic Band are performing separately. • Full concert attire is required. No shorts, FLIP FLOPS, or T-Shirts. Disney 2011

  9. WHAT To Pack For Your Trip Chorus • Chorus robe • Black shoes NOT Sandals • Black socks or knee-highs (no bare toes) • No Dangly Earrings Disney 2011

WHAT To Pack For Your Trip Everyone / In General • Sunscreen (for people like me, SPF 40 or 50 – yes that high) • This week’s forecast in Florida is mid 80’s • Comfortable shoes. • Bathing Suit for Blizzard Beach • Spending money • ALL Breakfasts & Diners are included with the exception of Thursday night. Students will be encouraged to get something to eat at the airport after they have checked in. • Sweatshirt or light jacket (just in case you get cold) Disney 2011

  11. WHAT To Pack For Your Trip Spending Money • All breakfasts and dinners* are included. Students will be given $15 cash each day for dinner. It will be the students’ responsibility to not spend the money on non-food items . • Dinners are not included on Thursday. Students will need to bring money to purchase dinner at the airport after check-in Disney 2011

  12. WHAT To Pack For Your Trip Spending Money • Students will need money for lunches during the day. We will be eating in the parks so you may want to allow $10-$15 each day for lunch food. • $15 x 5 days = $75 for lunch meals • Spending money will be at family’s discretion. There are NO OUTSIDE fees that students will have to pay for during the trip. Disney 2011

  13. Instrument / Luggage Check-In • WE HAVE CHANGED THE CHECK-IN NIGHT TO TUESDAY EVENING – NOT WEDNESDAY • WE WILL CHECK EVERYTHING IN ON ONE NIGHT - TUESDAY Disney 2011

Instrument / Luggage Check-In TUESDAY – APRIL 12 • Students will check the following items in : • Instrument • Suitcase • Garment Bag (with uniform/robe inside) • 6:00pm – 8:00pm • Instruments & Garment bags will be loaded onto the equipment truck to head to Florida the next day. • Students will receive their Trip Shirts to be worn to school and at the airport! Procedures For Thursday Departure THURSDAY – APRIL 12 • All students will leave from PHS by bus. • Three motorcoaches will be transporting students and luggage to airport . • Each plane will have at least 4 chaperones and one director. • There will be three groups of students leaving for the airport: • PLANE 1 – Leave PHS at 12:30 • PLANE 2, 3 – Leave PHS at 3:30 Disney 2011

Procedures For Thursday Departure THURSDAY – APRIL 12 PLANE 1 ·  Depart PHS at 12:30 ·  Depart TF Green at 3:30 ·  Arrive in Orlando at 6:35pm ·  Arrive at Hotel at 8:00pm PLANE 2 ·  Depart PHS at 3:30 ·  Depart TF Green at 7:00pm ·  Arrive in Orlando at 10:00pm ·  Arrive at Hotel at 11:30pm • PLANE 3 • ·  Depart PHS at 3:30 • ·  Depart TF Green at 7:40pm • ·  Arrive in Orlando at 12:05am • ·  Arrive at Hotel at 1:20am Disney 2011

  18. Procedures For TUESDAY Departure TUESDAY – APRIL 19 • All luggage will be packed on Monday evening • Students who have alternate plans, need to have their luggage picked up at Hotel by 8:00am. The buses are being loaded with luggage to head to the Animal Kingdom. • We will be leaving the Animal Kingdom for the Airport in two groups . . . . Disney 2011

Procedures For TUESDAY Departure • PLANE 1 & 2 • Depart Animal Kingdom at 1:15 • Depart Orlando at 4:10 • Arrive in Providence at 6:55 • Arrive at PHS at 8:45 (approx.) • PLANE 3 • Depart Animal Kingdom at 3:15pm • Depart Orlando at 6:00pm • Arrive in Providence 10:35pm (There is a stop in Baltimore) • Arrive in Portsmouth at 11:55 pm (approx.) Please do not park next to sidewalk, the buses will be unloading from there. Disney 2011

  20. CODE of CONDUCT • There will be no smoking at any time. Students found smoking will face immediate disciplinary action during the trip and upon return to PHS. • There will be absolutely no drinking of alcohol beverages or drug use at any time. Drinking or drug use will result in that student’s parents being contacted and immediate disciplinary action upon return to PHS. Disney 2011

  21. CODE of CONDUCT • Please do not take any “souvenirs” from your room. The hotel will contact the school with a list of expenses from each room. Students in the room will cover these costs and face disciplinary action. Occupants will be billed for any damages in their rooms. • If there is any damage to property, during the trip, the parents and/or students will assume full financial responsibility. Damage to any hotel room may be assessed equally among those students assigned to the room. Disney 2011
