  1. Select Chorus… Goes To New York!

  2. Who? • Select Chorus and a handful of seventh and eighth grade Chorus students.

  3. When? • On Wednesday, March 17 the students in Select Chorus took a trip to New York to see the musical, “Billy Elliot.”

  4. Where? • They took a workshop called Making Music at 130 West 56th Street. • The Musical was preformed at the Imperial Theater, on West 45th Street.

  5. Making Music Workshop • The Workshop the students attended was called Making Music. • At the workshop the students learned a piece of music from the Musical, they had a question and answer session, and had a lesson on how to talk with “the Accent” they use in the show.

  6. About Billy Elliot\ It is about… A young boy growing up in The time of the UK Miners Strike and the time of Margaret Thatcher His “Mum” past away and he is being raised by him Father, Brother who both work in the mine, and his “Grandmum” He also traded his Boxing Gloves for Ballet Shoes
