Physical infrastructure • Cisco 3640 Router supports the VLANs and DHCP. • VLAN per Group, different DHCP per group • DNS Server so that forward lookups can be spoofed so that SRV records can be created within the Tutorial. • Tutorial is connected to the PSTN for outgoing and incoming telephone calls. Each Group gets alocated several telephone numbers.

  4. DNS The SRV record in the DNS is key to SIP working;_sip._udp.bigu.edu 43200 IN SRV 10 10 5060 sipserver.bigu.edu. We have these options: • You can use the DNS SRV we have set up for your SIP Server, eg sip6.aarnet.edu.au, or • We can spoof your SRV record within the Tutorial so you can modify your DNS when you get home, or • You can modify your DNS now. Note: If your SIP server is located away from here ask talk to Ruston. FIND Ruston Hutchens who will help you.

  5. Testing Make sure you can ping: • 169.222.239.2 • Your SIP Server • your IP Phones • Somewhere outside.
