  2. What our invertebrate looks like Octopus • 8 tentacles • Large droopy head • Spread out body • soft and boneless • beak Squid • 2 big tentacles and 6 small tentacles with a lot of suction cups • 2 fins • Radula( Toothed structure on a squids beak)

  3. Whatis our invertebrates habitat? • both squids and octopi live in the ocean • salt water • close to or in coral reefs • some live at the bottom of the ocean

  4. What do our invertebrateseat? Octopi • they eat shellfish, fish, and crabs • they kill the animal with their poisonous saliva and then eat their prey Squids • they eat shellfish, fish, and plankton • they get their prey by suddenly bursting with great speed

  5. Howdo our invertebrates protect themselves? Octopi • they ink so the enemy can not see and the octopus swims away Squids • squids shoot dark fluid into the water • they swim away

  6. Three Interesting Facts About Our Invertebrate • Octopi live for 3 to 5 years • Squids have 3 hearts • No one knows how long a giant squid lives • Female octopi can lay 100, 000 eggs
