  3. How do I insure that all my reaches have measures? Answer; Use the MValue utility provided by the NHD Stewardship Team of course

  4. Programs NHDGeodatabase NHDMValueUtility

  5. 1.) Select Output Log File: Navigate to folder that contains pgdb (Pgdb will not be displayed) Name output file same as pgdb

  6. 2.) Select a Flowline Feature Class: Navigate to pgdb – select Flowline feature class OK

  7. The MValue utility is a valuable QC tool Measures that cannot be calculated are flagged as errors and can be resolved Error Log generated from NHDMValue Utility

  8. Example: MValue utility identifies reach with opposing flow

  9. OK, Now that I have insured all reaches in my dataset have measures What are they used for?
