  2. Time line • 5 minutes to motivate the children by warm up exercises. • 15 minutes for explaining the topic by practical approaches • 10 minutes for worksheets relating the topic • 10 minutes for revising the evaluation

  3. Long Term Goal • Adopt 21st century teaching approaches to enhance students appreciation of mathematics • Children will understand multiplication and able to apply it

  4. Short Term Goal • Change questioning strategies with student to promote critical thinking • Focus on encouraging student instead of praising • Focus on the mathematical process student use to get to an answer, not just the answer itself • Encourage collaboration among students • Help student understand that they can use each other as resources

  5. Instructional Strategies and task • I will provide more opportunities for student to answer question that require higher-order thinking • I will provide students with time for group discussion • Class activities will motivate them • I will ask questions that require students to explain how they came to an answer • I will allow students to gather in randomly assigned groups or pairs to discuss how to best solve mathematical problem • Children will be able to do work in groups

  6. Solutions to Ancipitated challenges Challenges Solution • I do not own a computer • There may be some student who do not want to work together • I will stay after school to use a computer in the school’s computer lab to create productive tools • I will randomly group students to encourage collaboration with all class members
