  1. 3 Significant Reasons to Highlight the Usefulness of Training Needs Assessment A training needs assessment recognizes the individual’s current competency level, skill or knowledge in one or more areas and compares that level of competency to the required competency standard implemented for their positions within the organization. Now suppose that your business financial year is coming to a close, and you still have got training and development budget left to spend. The training needs assessment works best in small to mid-sized organizations. It provides you a quick assessment of the training needs of an employee group. However, in a larger organization, until and unless you work closely with the subsets of employees, the challenge becomes much more difficult.
