Other Findings • Data ownership and allowed usage is becoming more critical. • Data accuracy and quality increases as automation increases. • Some times you need to provide less data, less often than you might think. • It’s not about data, it’s about useful actionable information. • Brings to a head data warehouse versus application issues. • Need to align financial practices and regulatory efforts. • Increasing overlap between IT and Field Operations. • A lack of standards and a rapidly changing business environment make in-home devices particularly challenging. • Internal standards groups and systems are your friends. • Don’t underestimate the challenges associated with metering. • The rest of the company isn’t waiting for you to come down from the mountain.
