  2. Multiple Intelligences Theory • Humans were born with different types of intelligences (Howard Gardner, 1983) • We are smart in different ways---seven types • Each person poses different levels of all seven types of intelligences

  4. Linguistic intelligence (word smart) • Ability to use words and language • Logical-mathematical intelligence (logic smart) • Ability to use reason, logic, and numbers

  5. Visual-Spatial intelligence (picture smart) • Ability to perceive and use visual objects • Musical intelligence (music smart) • Skill to create and appreciate music

  6. Intrapersonal intelligence (self-smart) • Ability to self-reflect and be aware of inner feelings. • Interpersonal intelligence (people smart) • The ability to understand and work with others

  7. Bodily-Kinesthetic intelligence (body smart) • Ability to control body movements • (naturalist intelligence: nature smart) • My suggestion: cultural intelligence • Ability to understand and adopt to different cultures
