  2. A: It’s bitterly cold today. B: It’s much warmer than yesterday. A: Yes. You’re from Beijing, aren’t you? B: No. I was born in Harbin, but I left at 18 when I was admitted to Beijing University. I’ve been living in Beijing for more than ten years. A: Are you used to the weather here? B: Yes. I like the weather in Beijing, especially in autumn. There are many beautiful days. Trees are changing color, and the weather is neither too hot nor too cold. A: But don’t you mind the coldness in winter here? B: Not at all! I prefer cold weather to hot weather. I’m a winter person. I can skate, ski and make snowman. What about you? A: I like summer better. In Britain, the weather is much more temperate that in most of China. In winter it is milder and in summer it is cooler. B: Yes, isn’t it?

  7. Season • I like springmost because I can put away my overcoat and relax myself. Another reason is that I like flying kites. There are all kinds of flowers in spring. I like peach blossoms. But it’s windy in spring and people especially the children may get sick. • I like summermost because I always enjoy outdoor activities and there are all kinds of fruits. I usually take a walk after supper with my husband in summer and enjoy a most pleasant evening. It’s hot in summer and sunshine is too strong. Hot days in summer make me sleepy, and rainy days make me sad. • I like autumn most because it is a harvest season. The leaves turn brown in autumn. We can also go to appreciate the red leaves in mountains. Everything seems to be depressing in autumn. I will have a gloomy feeling and I will feel tired during this season. • Inwinter, if it snows, the whole world turns white, which can make us feel pure. We can go skiing and skating and playing with snow outside. We can also get together with our friends and have hot pot. It’s too cold and we have to wear heavy clothes

  19. Here is an average description of seasons in a year. Spring-nature awakens from her long winter sleep .The trees are filled with new life .the earth is warmed by the rays of the sun, and the weather gets gradually milder. The fields and meadows are filled with green grass the woods and filled with songs of the birds. But very often it rains a lot in spring in many places .so we say,“April shows bring may flowers” Summer-the weather gets warmer still and sometimes it’s very hot it’s the farmer’s busy season –he works in his fields from morning till night, the grass must be cut and hay must be made, while the dry weather lasts. Sometimes the skies are overcast with heavy clouds. There are storms with thunder, lighting and hail. Autumn-it brings with it the harvest-time, when the crops are gathered in and the fruit is picked in the orchards. The day’s get shorter and the nights longer. The woods turn yellow and brown, leaves begin to fall from the trees, and the ground is covered with them. The skies are gray, and very often it rains. Winter-we’re obliged to spend more time indoors because out of doors it’s cold. We may get fog sleet and frost or snow. Ponds Lakes Rivers and streams are frozen, and the roads are sometimes covered with slippery ice or deep snow. The trees are bare. Bitter north winds have stripped them of all their leaves.

  20. I like vantage point that middle age gives you over all other ages—the young don’t understand the old and the old can’t comprehend the young but the middle age can be in touch with both. I find it exciting to be a go-betweens. Halfway through anything is always the most enjoyable time. It is like being on top of a hump-backed bridge: you’ve toiled up and you might be going to stagger down, but for the moment you’re on a plateau with the view of all.
