  5. Rate of change • How fast a field changes • Similar to gradient, but is change in field relative to time and not distance Rate of change= Change in field value Time

  6. It took 2 hours for a group to walk from C to D. At what rate did they change elevation? Change in field value Rate of change = Time 200m-50m 150 m Rate of change= Rate of change= 2 hours 2 hours Rate of change = 75 m/hr
